I am officially full for custom spots to be guaranteed for Christmas delivery. Ready to ship items stocked in my shop will still be able to make it for Christmas if ordered before December 17th. Thank you all so much!
Just wanted to give a quick heads up and let everyone know that my custom orders in time for Christmas are coming to a close. I have a few spots left yet and then I will have to close customs. If you’re looking for anything please contact me ASAP.
I’ve been a bit on a hiatus from things shop related. Summer always brings me to a place where I lose a bit of interest with yarn crafting. The beauty of it is that every late summer/early fall I get to fall back in love with it all over again. Currently I’m smitten with my crochet hooks.
I’ve decided that it’s time to get things fired back up and rolling with Whimsical Stitches once again. I thought that perhaps this time I’d try a new approach to things, because new is fun, right?! At least until orders catch up to me and don’t allow me the time to continue with it, I plan to work throughout the week (or two, I haven’t completely decided) and then list a bunch of fun ready to ship items.
So with that in mind, I’ve been very busy. Starting tomorrow afternoon I will begin to list these fun ready to ship goodies. And just as a little teaser, here’s a quick sneak peek of my goody box after I was done attaching buttons to everything…
So yes. Lots of goodies coming your way. I hope you are excited, because I am thrilled to be back at this thing again. Welcome Fall!
I recently decided that I needed a new logo for my Etsy shop - one all my own made especially for me. The very talented Brandy at brittle heart design created one just for me. She’s fantastic to work with making changes and everything until it was exactly what I was looking for. If you are in the market for graphic design work you should definitely look her up. You can find her shop over here - http://hyenacart.com/stores/brittleheartdesign/ and she’s also on Facebook.
I’ve been asked why I didn’t have a convertible mitten for sale with the owl on it instead of the cable pattern. I honestly couldn’t figure out why I hadn’t. I like to come up with new items for my shop and since my convertible cabled mittens have done well I decided to sit and figure out the modifications of making the owl fingerless mittens into convertibles.
Due to a lot of positive feedback I’ve been receiving, I’ve decided to go ahead and start listing my owl tassel hats and stuffies in my shop. Currently I have custom listings available for the owl hats and a couple stuffies are up. Be on the lookout over the next few days for the rest to go live.
I’ve been meaning to find something cute that would fit the feel of my shop and use all the adorable fabrics that I have accumulated. I’ve finally found inspiration and started creating stuffies.
I’m addicted to these little guys. They are super cute, super soft, and you just HAVE to squish them. They aren’t going to officially be up in my shop until after December 3rd (craft show - Winterfest @ Eastern York Middle School), but I just can’t help but share before that. Nevermind, changed my mind. They are going live as I get a chance to get them all up there. :)
Above is the entire group that I have completed so far, but here are a couple more…
And their friends…
If I had to pick a favorite out of them so far it would probably be this sweet little owl…
Keep an eye out for them joining the line up in December.
